Refund policy

At DON!Studio, we handle returns carefully due to the nature of our products and the importance of preserving their original condition, presentation, and resale integrity.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. General principle
Because many of our products are curated, collectible, delicate, limited, or condition-sensitive, returned items must be received in the same original condition in which they were sent.
We reserve the right to inspect all returned items before approving any refund.
2. Returns within Europe
If you are a consumer located in Europe and your order is eligible under applicable law, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery. This general right exists for many online consumer purchases in the EU, subject to legal exceptions.
To be eligible for a return, the item must:
- be returned within the applicable return period;
- be the exact original item shipped by DON!Studio;
- be unused and unaltered;
- be free from marks, wear, damage, odors, bends, tears, scratches, or any other sign of handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it;
- include all original packaging, protective materials, inserts, labels, seals, and any accompanying materials;
- remain fully suitable for resale.
If a returned item shows any sign of wear, damage, markings, alteration, mishandling, missing components, substitution, or any condition that makes it unsuitable for resale, the return may be rejected and no refund will be issued.
3. Returns outside Europe
Orders shipped outside Europe are final sale and are not eligible for change-of-mind returns, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
This means that if you place an order for delivery outside Europe and simply change your mind after receiving it, we do not accept the return.
This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law if the item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect.
4. Non-returnable items
The following items are not eligible for return unless required by applicable law or unless they arrive defective, damaged, or incorrect:
- personalized or made-to-order items;
- custom-framed or custom-prepared items;
- items marked as final sale;
- gift cards;
- any item returned in a condition that is not original and resale-ready.
If a product is clearly identified at the time of purchase as non-returnable, that status will apply except where mandatory consumer law states otherwise. The EU recognises some exceptions to the 14-day withdrawal right, including certain personalised goods.
5. Return shipping costs
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
We do not cover return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.
However, if the item you received is incorrect, defective, or damaged on arrival, please contact us before returning it. In those cases, we will review the issue and provide the appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law. EU consumer rules separately protect customers when goods are faulty or not as described.
6. Condition inspection and refund approval
All returns are subject to inspection once received.
We reserve the right to reject a refund if:
- the returned item is not the original item sent;
- the item has been used, worn, altered, or damaged;
- the item has been marked, bent, scratched, torn, or otherwise mishandled;
- original packaging or essential accompanying materials are missing;
- the item is returned in a condition that makes it unsuitable for resale;
- the return does not comply with this policy.
Because some of our products are highly condition-sensitive, any sign of customer handling that affects resaleability may result in the return being rejected in full.
7. Incorrect, damaged, or defective items
Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If your item arrives incorrect, damaged, or defective, contact us at pablo@itsdonstudio.com as soon as possible and include:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping box.
If the issue is confirmed, we will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law, which may include replacement, repair, refund, or another appropriate solution. Consumers in the EU generally have statutory rights where goods are faulty or not as advertised.
8. How to request a return
To request a return, email us at pablo@itsdonstudio.com with:
- your order number;
- the item(s) you wish to return;
- the reason for the return;
- photos if relevant.
Do not send items back without contacting us first.
If your return request is approved, we will provide return instructions. Shopify also allows merchants to publish and manage return policies through Settings > Policies.
9. Refund timing
If a return is approved after inspection, the refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider.
If the return is rejected following inspection, no refund will be issued and the item may be returned to you at your expense where applicable.
10. Exchanges
We do not guarantee exchanges.
If an exchange is possible in a specific case, it will be handled at our discretion and subject to stock availability.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
If you are a consumer in the EU, this includes the general framework of the 14-day withdrawal right for many distance purchases and separate statutory rights where goods are defective or not as described.
